Diane Drescher, a northern Manhattan plein air painter focuses on nature in the urban setting. Her recent solo show at Bowery Gallery featured paintings of the High Line, the historic freight rail line on Manhattan's west side that's been turned into an elevated park and garden. Previous subject matter includes the waterfront of NYC as well as views of the beloved Fort Tryon Park. Drescher has shown through-out the NY metropolitan area in both solo and group shows since 2003. She studied at the Art Students League, the National Academy of Fine Art and the School of the Art Institute in Chicago.
