MARC SOLOMON
Towards the end of college Marc began to draw and came to New York to go to art school. Despite winning scholarships at the New York Studio School and participating in exhibitions for five years afterward, he had too many doubts about the scene and about his own work to make a career of it. Instead Marc has pursued painting as a private obsession for a compensating beauty, eliminating everything except subject, touch and perception from the paintings he performs on site. Marc believes they are beginning to stand on their own, more the image of the site than the acting out of his personal dilemmas.
